Hi all,
It’s 06:12am on April 5th 2024 as I write this. I feel like I’m at the end of a chapter, and the beginning of another. It is hard for me to put into words how I feel, but I will try to piece the story of this EP together for you and show you what this moment means to me.
My debut EP ‘dreams’ has reached the world, and this date marks the start of a new chapter in my story. 6 months ago I made the choice to change my life and let music decide my path forward, not knowing what it will bring. A scary, yet hopeful thought.
I remember confiding in my girlfriend about my ambitions and the struggle I faced in finding the right path.. I was lost in mist and doubting every choice I made. Does the world really need another musician? Is there something more meaningful or helpful I should be doing? As I was pondering about these questions, my gf just simply said these following words to me: ‘just do something that makes you happy. There is always place for one more good one.’
I gained much comfort from this simple gesture and it set me on a mission to make this dream a reality, one way or another. It reminded me that no one really knows what they’re doing – no one. We are just beings walking on the fast expanse called Earth in hope of finding something that gives us any form of meaning. With these thoughts in the back of my mind, I got to be creative, and make the foundation of what is now the theme of my EP.
Each song within this EP is a unique chapter in the narrative of resilience, balance, courage, regrets, and the endless pursuit of the extraordinary. The spoken word tracks give more depth to the EP’s overarching theme, setting the stage with emotional optimism and a pulse that mirrors the heartbeat of someone embracing their destiny. The EP explores the emotional landscape of dreams, hope, fears, and the triumphs that come with unwavering commitment. Melodies ebb and flow like the tides, while lyrics resonate as anthems of dreams.
It’s an immersive experience that has led me to reflect on my aspirations. now that I’m in the early stages of envisioning my path and finding the courage to rekindle a dormant passion, this musical odyssey is my traveling companion.
I believe with all my love for this world that there has never been a more important time to create music. It holds so much power to strengthen bonds and bring about change. There is something magical about humans coming together to express and share visions. Music just helps here so elegantly, universally. We all understand each other through these frequencies. no matter who or where you are in this world. This EP has helped me shape who I am and helped me understand, grieve, overcome, and restore my faith. It has taught me to trust the process and learn patience – good things are on the horizon.
To all of you, I want to thank you for being part of this journey. I’m grateful to have you here with me.
